Welcome to Wild Surveys

Welcome to Wild surveys. We hope you find our website helpful and informative. We are here to assist any organisation or individual who has been asked to carry out an ecological survey prior to developing land or buildings which may have importance to wildlife.

Wild Surveys specialises in carrying out commercial bat surveys and we have many years of experience.  We have been involved in a variety of projects from individual buildings (including private residencies) to extensive building projects (secondary schools new build), major transportation schemes as well as large and small areas of woodland.  In addition to bat surveys we can offer Phase 1 Habitat Surveys as well as surveying for a full range of protected wildlife species including badger, otter, water vole and great crested newt.  Geographically, much of our work is in Scotland however we are now gaining experience in working south of the border.

As you look through our website you will find specific information on all the different kinds of surveys that are usually required to be carried out where works are planned. The section containing frequently asked questions is designed to answer many of the questions and concerns that you may have about the survey work you have been asked to undertake.

We are able to give free advice on survey work you may have been asked to carry out by a local planning authority or Scottish natural Heritage.
